AiSK exists to champion Saskatchewan’s role in AI by connecting business, government, education, and community under one banner. We’re not just here to talk about technology—we’re here to make sure AI creates opportunities, strengthens industries, and reflects the values of our province.

May 2024 - We Begin
What started as a vision becomes official—AiSK is incorporated as a registered non-profit, ready to champion AI in Saskatchewan.
June 2024 - Building the Braintrust
Our first Advisory Board comes together, blending business leaders, innovators, and community builders who share a passion for keeping Saskatchewan ahead in AI.
June 2024 - Our First Gathering
We launch the Saskatchewan Artificial Intelligence Gathering (SaIG), a first-of-its-kind event sponsored by Innovation Saskatchewan, Discover Saskatoon, and Procido LLP, and powered by 7Shifts. Speakers from near and far share ideas, spark collaborations, and plant seeds for what’s next.
July 2024 - Growing Stronger
We welcome Prabha Ramaswamy, President & CEO of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, to our Advisory Board—adding even more expertise and vision to the team.
September 2024 - Taking Saskatchewan to the World
AiSK announces our first international mission: heading to the AI Summit in New York to share our story, connect with global leaders, and bring fresh ideas back home.
October 2024 - Doubling Down on Ideas
Our second SaIG event, Adventures in AI, hosted by Vendasta in Saskatoon, brings new voices, new perspectives, and new collaborations into the fold.
October 2024 - A Place to Call Home
We open our first office at Innovation Place in Saskatoon—a hub for ideas, projects, and partnerships that will shape Saskatchewan’s AI future.
October 2024 - Students
AiSK launches the AiSK Student Network, creating a dedicated platform for young innovators to connect, learn, and lead in shaping Saskatchewan’s AI future.
October 2024 - Expo
AiSK announces the launch of the Sask AI Expo, coming June 2025 — a showcase of local talent, global perspectives, and the province’s growing role in artificial intelligence.
November 2024 - Google + Art
AiSK takes the stage at its first Google DevFest at the University of Saskatchewan, sharing ideas and inspiration — and even selling a piece of AI-generated art live on stage.
December 2024 - Funding Announcement
AiSK enters into a three-year funding agreement with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, securing long-term support for education, innovation, and growth in AI across the province.
January 2025 - Leadership
Alex Fallon assumes the role of Executive Director of AiSK, bringing vision, experience, and energy to lead the organization into its next chapter.
