AiSK to Provide AI Literacy Training to 10,000 Saskatchewan Residents and Businesses

What AiSK announced

Artificial Intelligence Saskatchewan (AiSK) launched 10K AI SK to help make Saskatchewan one of the most AI-literate provinces in Canada. The program teaches AI basics: what AI is, what it can do, how it works, and where guardrails are needed.

A 2025 global study by KPMG and the University of Melbourne ranked Canada 44th of 47 countries on AI training and literacy, and 42nd of 47 on trust in AI systems. Less than a quarter of Canadians report having received any AI training.

How the program works

10K AI SK runs as online courses with optional in-person sessions across Saskatchewan, starting Fall 2026. Courses are built by AiSK members, staff, partner companies, and trusted public sources, and are reviewed by qualified experts.

Topics include the history of AI, key AI terms, AI ethics, AI tools, and AI data and privacy. In-person sessions can be shaped to fit a business, team, or community group. People who prefer to learn on their own can use self-directed courses in the member portal.

Access and next steps

Residents and businesses can reserve early access through the AI Literacy waitlist. Early registrants will get an email when the training opens. The program is free for AiSK members and open to everyone else on a sliding scale, with free access available for those not able to join AiSK as a member.
